Cependant, si les preuves scientifiques de l’efficacité des théra-
peutiques non médicamenteuses manquent, rares sont les études
suggérant leur inefficacité. En outre, leur bonne tolérance permet
de les prescrire à tous les stades de la maladie,notamment chez
des patients âgés et/ou polymédiqués. L’éducation du patient, la
p e rte de poids et le maintien d’une activité physique régulière
( m a rche ) restent trois mesures fondamentales dans la prise en
charge de l’arthrose des membres inférieurs, avant le recours à
des traitements médicamenteux et/ou chirurgicaux.
