Les six volumes de la présente collection rassemblent
les écrits du philosophe français Jean-François Lyotard
sur l’art contemporain et les artistes. Les textes sont
publiés dans leur version originale en français et dans
leur traduction en anglais. Un grand nombre de textes
non publiés, déposés au Fonds Jean-François Lyotard de
la Bibliothèque Littéraire Jacques Doucet à Paris, sont
repris dans ces recueils. Les volumes sont amplement
illustrés par les œuvres d’art commentées par Lyotard.
Les six volumes comportent une introduction bio-
bibliographique de Herman Parret et une postface par
d’autres spécialistes de la pensée lyotardienne.

The six volumes of the present collection contain the writings
of the French philosopher Jean-François Lyotard on contem-
porary art and artists. These texts are published in their
original version in French and their translation in English.
A great number of unpublished texts, preserved at the Fonds
Jean-François Lyotard of the Bibliothèque Littéraire Jacques
Doucet in Paris, are presented for the first time in these volumes.
They are largely illustrated by the works of art Lyotard com-
ments upon. The six volumes contain a bio-bibliographical
introduction by Herman Parret and an epilogue by other experts
of Lyotard’s thought.
