Course Overview
- The course is intended for students who have completed 4 or 5 years of French.
- It is designed to emphasize the use of language for active communication in authentic
settings in order to prepare students for the AP French Language and Culture exam (in May
for French 5)
- The majority of the class will be conducted in French and the students will be encouraged to
use the language as much as possible.
- The course will present students with a variety of authentic audio, visual and written
documents dealing with various aspects of the French-speaking world.
- The students will be provided with many opportunities to improve and practice their listening,
reading, speaking and writing skills.
- My recommendation for success:
Read, Listen, Watch and Speak French in and out of the classroom.
Be curious about the French-Speaking world. Open your mind.
