My tasks were quite varied.In the
morning, I usually entered data into the
computer .I also checked invoices and put
them in different files.Then , in the
afternoon , I always did some
photocopying and sent faxes.
I occasionnally answered the phone ,
which I didn’t like very much .
Anyway, I became efficient in using a
computer , the photocopier and the fax
machine .

My place of work was situated
in a small town in the suburbs
of Rouen.It was a chemical
factory of about 40
employees.Every day I had to
take the train , the journey
took about 20 minutes , then I
walked to the company.The
train arrived early so I had
plenty of time to get to work.

I think I was lucky because my
work experience wasn’t a waste of
time and it gave me a good idea of
what real work is in a firm.
