2014 restera gravé dans les mémoires pour
les malheurs qui ont affecté nos communau-
tés et notre planète : guerres en Ukraine, en
Syrie, en Irak, … chaos dans de nombreux
pays comme le Vénézuela, la Libye, le Nigé-
ria….. la grippe EBOLA… la crise économique
persistante.
Quel message l’architecte et l’ingénieur
doivent-ils délivrer aux citoyens du monde
frappés de tant de souffrance ?
Pour le GROUPE H, spécialiste des construc-
tions durables, il s’agit de poursuivre dans la
conception de bâtiments exemplaires non pas
en termes de prouesses technologiques et
esthétiques, mais de bâtiments, respectueux
de l’environnement et proches du citoyen.
En 2014, le GROUPE H a obtenu le permis de
transformer le siège du BIT (Bureau Interna-
tional du Travail à Genève d’une superficie de
110’000m2) qui deviendra un Green Building
après travaux. Il a aussi réalisé pour et avec
M. Thomas BÜCHI, une maison de montagne
« Energie + » qui produit plus d’énergie qu’elle
n’en consomme.
Formé d'architectes et d'ingénieurs citoyens
du monde, le GROUPE H poursuivra son enga-
gement pour la protection de la planète.
Que 2015 vous apporte et nous apporte l’op-
portunité de réaliser des projets simples ou
ambitieux mais porteurs d’espoir pour le plus
grand nombre.

2014 will forever remain in our memory for
the many misfortunes which have affected
our communities and our entire planet: the
wars in Ukraine, Syria, Iraq; the chaos in
many countries such as Venezuela, Libya,
Nigeria; the EBOLA outbreak; and the conti-
nuing economic crisis.
What message should architects and engi-
neers issue to citizens of the world affected
by so much suffering?
For GROUPE H, a specialist in sustainable
construction, it is a question of continuing
with design of exemplary buildings not
in terms of technological and aesthetic
prowess, but buildings which are environ-
mentally friendly and close to citizens.
In 2014, GROUPE H was awarded a per-
mit for transformation of the head office of
the ILO (International Labour Organization
in Geneva covering a total surface area of
110,000 m2) which will become a Green
Building following the works. Additionally,
for and alongside Mr. Thomas BÜCHI, it
developed a high-altitude home which is
classified "Energy +" as it produces more
energy than it consumes.
Comprising architects and engineers who
are citizens of the world, GROUPE H will
continue in its commitment towards pro-
tection of the planet.
May 2015 bring you and us the opportunity
to perform simple, yet ambitious projects
which bring hope to the many.
