Chaque élève présentera sa maison, en employant les structures apprises en classe au cours de
l’unité. La présentation se fait à l’oral, sans texte écrit. Pendant la présentation, l’élève peut
faire référence aux photos (ou aux dessins) de sa maison.
Voici les éléments langagiers attendus dans la présentation:

…la présentation continue pour 5 - 7 pièces. On peut aussi parler d’un grenier et un sous-sol..
Vous devez utiliser au moins cinq pièces. (une cuisine, une salle à manger, un salon, une
chambre, une salle de bains, et une salle de récréation)
Le nombre maximum est de sept pièces.
L’élève peut appuyer sa présentation orale avec les images collées sur une boîte de souliers, une
affiche ou une présentation Power Point.

Chez moi il y a cinq pièces. Il y a une cuisine, une salle à manger, un salon, une chambre et
une salle de bains etc. Dans le bâtiment il y a une salle de récréation et une piscine.
(In my house there are five rooms. There is a kitchen, a living room, a dining room and one
bedroom etc. In the building there is a games room and a pool)
Dans mon appartement il y a seize étages.
(In my apartment there are sixteen floors)
Il n’y a pas de sous-sol ou de grenier.
Voici la cuisine. Dans la cuisine il y a un frigo blanc, un poêle, des comptoirs gris, un
évier, un micro-onde, un lave-vaiselle et des placards en bois.
Dans la cuisine ma femme fait la cuisine.
(Here is the kitchen. In the kitchen there is a white ridge, a stove, counters, a sink, a microwave,
a dishwasher and wooden cupboards. In the kitchen my wife cooks.)
Voici la salle à manger. Dans la salle à manger il y a une table en bois, quatre chaises
noires, une étagère noire, et il y a des peintures sur les murs. Dans la salle à manger je
mange le petit déjeuner et le dîner avec ma femme.
(Here is my dining room. In the dining room there is a wooden table, four black chairs,.a black
shelf and paintings on the walls. In the dining room I eat breakfast and dinner with my wife).
Voici le salon. Dans le salon il y a un divan brun, un tapis, une grande télévision, une
chaise rouge, une lampe, un bureau noir et une chaise noire. Il y a un balcon aussi. Dans
le salon je regarde la télévision et je lis des livres. Je ne joue pas aux jeux vidéo.
(Here is the living room. In the living room there is a brown sofa, a carpet, a big television a red
chair, a lamp, a black desk and a black chair. There is a balcony too. In the living room I watch
T.V. and I read books. I don’t play video games.)
Voici ma chambre. Il y a un lit avec une couverture et des oreillers, une commode, un
armoire et une fenetre. Dans ma chambre je dors et je lis des livres.
(Here is my bedroom. There is a bed with a blanket and pillows, a dresser, a closet and a window.
In my bedroom I sleep and I read books.)
Voici la salle de bains. Dans la salle de bains il y a une toilette, un évier, une baignoire
blanche avec une douche. Dans la salle de bains je prends une douche.
(Here is the bathroom. In the bathroom there is a toilet, a sink and a white bathtub with a shower.
In the bathroom I take a shower).
Dans mon bâtiment il y a une piscine ou je nage et une salle avec des tables de billard ou je
joue au billards.
(In my building there is a swimming pool and a room with pool tables where I play pool.)
Chez moi il y a une cour/il n’y a pas une cour. Dans la cour je joue au soccer.
(At my house there is/there isn’t a backyard.)
The student should be able to use the model to give an oral presentation speaking about their own
house and describe at least five rooms (maximum seven) and the things in each room using
adjectives of colour and size (big, small). They should also be able to describe what each
members of their family do in each room.
Example: Dans le salon mon frère regarde la télévision. (In the living room my brother watches
T.V.).
I will be grading the oral presentation the following way:
