La crise financière passera mais le réchauffement de la planète perdurera si la communauté internationale
n'agit pas de concert pour réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre. Tel est en substance le message lancé
lundi par des responsables politiques et des scientifiques au premier jour de la conférence de l'ONU sur le
changement climatique à Poznan, en Pologne. […]
One day or another the credit crunch/the financial crisis will come to an end, but global warming will
continue/will not if the international community does not act in a common/joint effort to reduce greenhouse
gas emissions. This is the gist/core of the message sent by political leaders and scientists last Monday on the
opening day of the U.N conference on climate change in Poznan, Poland.
La conférence de Poznan, qui réunit les représentants de 190 pays jusqu'au 12 décembre, vise à avancer sur
la voie d'un nouveau texte en remplacement du protocole de Kyoto sur la réduction des gaz à effet de serre
(GES), qui expire en 2012. En décembre dernier, la conférence de l'ONU sur le climat à Bali a fixé pour
objectif la signature d'un accord en décembre 2009 à Copenhague. […]
The Poznan conference, which gathers/brings together the representatives of 190 countries until 12 th
December, aims at moving forward with the drafting of a new text which will replace the Kyoto Protocol on
the reduction of greenhouse gases (G.H.G.), which expires (will expire) in 2012. Last December, the U.N
climate Conference in Bali set as an objective the signing of a new agreement in Copenhagen in December
2009.

polonais Donald Tusk. […]

Le Premier ministre danois Anders Fogh Rasmussen, dont le pays accueillera dans un an la conférence où
doit être signé cet accord, s'est dit "ravi" que M. Obama fasse de la lutte contre le changement climatique une

Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen, whose country will host the conference where that
agreement should be signed next year, said he was « delighted » that M.Obama (has) made the fight against
climate change a priority.
