Test génétique BMP15 HYPERPROLIFICITE OVINE Le rôle fondamental des BMP (Bone Morphogenetic Proteins) dans le fonctionnement ovarien a été démontré, et des mutations naturelles ont été identifiées chez les ovins. Le gène BMP15 est porté par le chromosome X, il conduit à l’état hétérozygote à un fort taux d’ovulation et à la stérilité à l’état homozygote. Type de mutation et race concernée Locus FecX Chromosome X gène BMP15 mutation C53Y Race Lacaune Dans la race Lacaune, cette mutation est nommée FecXL et son produit BMP15C53Y. L’effet in vivo de cette mutation a été démontré, pour les hétérozygotes FecXL porteurs de la mutation, le taux d’ovulation des brebis est de 1.5 fois supérieur aux non porteurs. Pour les homozygotes FecXL / FecXL le développement folliculaire est anormal entraînant la stérilité. Analyse de la mutation L’échantillon est constitué d’un prélèvement de sang sur tube EDTA. Le laboratoire Aveyron Labo a développé ses propres sondes pour détecter cette mutation. La PCR en temps réel est faite sur LC480, l’analyse des courbes d’amplification repose sur le principe HRM (Hight Résolution Melting curve) et permet de déterminer si les béliers sont porteurs ou non de la mutation.
