Définition de l’ergonomie

• L’ergonomie (ou Human Factors) est la discipline scientifique qui vise la
compréhension fondamentale des interactions entre les humains et les
autres composantes d’un système, et la profession qui applique principes
théoriques, données et méthodes en vue d’optimiser le bien-être des
personnes et la performance globale des systèmes.
“Ergonomics (or human factors) is the scientific discipline concerned with the
understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and
the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to
optimize human well-being and overall system performance”
Practitioners of ergonomics, ergonomists, contribute to the planning, design and
evaluation of tasks, jobs, products, organizations, environments and systems in
order to make them compatible with the needs, abilities and limitations of
people.
