CONCLUSION
L’EDMP est une pathologie fréquente et probablement
sous-diagnostiquée. Ces dernières années, on observe un
regain d’intérêt pour mieux cerner la psychopathologie de
ce trouble et son approche psychothérapeutique. Concer-
nant le traitement psychopharmacologique, le débat reste
très ouvert sur la nécessité ou non d’associer un antipsy-
chotique et sur le choix du type d’antidépresseur. De nou-
velles études randomisées seraient bienvenues.

L’épisode dépressif majeur avec caractéristiques psychotiques
est une pathologie fréquente et souvent sous-diagnostiquée
Souvent les éléments psychotiques sont discrets et pas for-
cément repérables au premier entretien. Il est important de
les rechercher activement en raison des implications théra-
peutiques
Un champ de recherche semble s’ouvrir concernant l’utilisa-
tion d’outils psychothérapeutiques dès le début de la prise en
charge
