Tous les circovirus ont un tropisme pour le système immunitaire et provoquent une
déplétion lymphocytaire plus ou moins prononcée chez leurs hôtes. Toutefois, de très
nombreux animaux peuvent être infectés par les circovirus sans manifester de signes
cliniques.
