Le futur simple = “will”
Formula: stem + endings
Stem for regular verb = the infinitive
Endings = the verb avoir (for the most part)
“Shoe verbs” in the future = retain spelling change for
all conjugations
Irregular verbs= must memorize the irregular stems

Le futur
1. The future of regular verbs is formed by adding
the appropriate endings to the infinitive of the verb. In the case of verbs
ending in -re, the final -e is dropped before the future endings are added.

2. The future tense expresses an action or event that will take
place sometime in the future. Following are some common
adverbial expressions that can be used with the future.

aller + infinitive construction is frequently used to
describe an event that will happen in the near future.
