Marketing Manager, Le 1909
Regular full-time position
REASON OF JOB OPENING
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of brand marketing activity,
promotion, and advertising initiatives to drive sales and build brand equity for Le 1909, a new sports bar
and restaurant at the Bell Centre in downtown Montreal and at Place Bell in Laval that will open in the
fall of 2017.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development of creative strategy, advertising plan, and creative executions.
Lead the strategic development of annual media plan in partnership with media advisors .
Responsible for the management of the marketing budget.
Responsible for proactive development of promotional recommendations, including strategy,
concept/offer, pricing/financials, operational considerations, communications support, and
budget management.
Plan and execute promotional/themed events to drive clients to the restaurant.
Conduct annual business review on effectiveness of advertising and promotions.
Develop a promotional calendar of events supported by a media plan around all Bell Centre
events (hockey, concerts, and shows), as well as for TV viewing opportunities for all major
sports.
Lead the development of PR strategies with public relations vendor.
Manage website development and e-marketing strategies.
Conduct thorough and timely post-program analysis and evaluation.
Oversee core and promotional menu development.
Measure the effectiveness of all promotions/menu changes.
Participate in Brand Food Team to ensure food direction is aligned with brand promise.
Assist and provide support to Operations for local store marketing activities.
Ensure the marketing, media, advertising, and menu mix remain current with consumer trends
and preferences, and consistently deliver on brand promise.
Determine optimal allocation of marketing investment for maximum financial return and brand
equity.
Work with multiple partnering organizations on the delivery of marketing programs.
