SHOULD / SHOULDN’T + V
Should est invariable.
C’est un auxiliaire qu’on trouve juste entre le sujet et le verbe:
Ex : I should work harder.
*Avec SHOULD, on conseille :
You should see a doctor. → Tu devrais voir un médecin
*Avec SHOULDN’T (ou SHOULD NOT), on déconseille :
You shoudn’t eat snacks.→ Tu ne devrais pas grignoter.
►Situation 1 : Imagine you are a teacher. You are giving advice to
pupils about their work and attitude in class. Make 6 sentences:
Vocabulary help: fool around - be rude - disrupt the class –
eat snacks – work hard – cheat during tests – do your homework – chat
with friends –
►Situation 2: Imagine you are a policeman / policewoman. You are
giving advice to drivers. Make 6 sentences:
Vocab. Help: pay attention to pedestrians – respect the speed limits –
stop at the red lights – slow down in town – respect the highway code –
drive too fast.
