A. Protection zone (3-km radius):
- identification of all poultry holdings;
- biosecurity measures;
- poultry and other captive birds to be kept enclosed;
- no hatching eggs, fresh meat, minced meat, meat preparations or meat products from poultry or other captive birds (including wild feathered game) may leave the protection zone;
- no unprocessed litter or manure from holdings located in the protection zone may leave the protection zone;
- transport of poultry and other captive birds (except for non-stop transit via major roads or railways and direct transport to a slaughterhouse for immediate slaughter) is prohibited;
- markets, shows, competitions and all other gatherings of poultry and captive birds are prohibited;
- hunting of wild birds is prohibited.
B. Surveillance zone (10-km radius):
- all holdings will be identified and all poultry on those holdings will be counted and clinically inspected;
- biosecurity measures to be applied on farms, including disinfection at the entrance to the holdings (CD 205/734);
- movement of poultry and all captive birds is prohibited;
- markets, shows, competitions and all other gatherings of poultry and captive birds are prohibited;
- hunting of wild birds is prohibited.
