Course The student is expected to acquire basic communication, grammatical,

Learning The student will demonstrate an elementary level use of correct sentence
structures, Outcomes pronunciation, listening skills and speaking and writing fluency.
The student will develop a passive reading vocabulary.
The students will develop a greater awareness of Francophone culture

CSL The Center for Student Learning is located in the Addleston Library. Its
services are free of charge to all currently enrolled students. It is to your
advantage to avail yourself of the tutorial services of the Center.
Attendance: Attendance is required at all classes and roll will be taken at each session. No
more than 3 unexcused absences will be allowed. Frequent absences will
definitely lower your grade. No make-up tests will be given unless there are
extraordinary circumstances, and I must be notified within 24 hours of a
missed test to even consider a make-up. Quizzes will not be made up.
Grading: 50% Tests (there are only 2) 93- 100=A 74 –77= C
15% Oral work: class participation 90- 92= A- 70- 73= C-
15% Quizzes, compositions, homework 87- 89= B+ 68- 69= D+
20% Final exam 84- 86= B 66-67= D
81 –83= B- 65= D-
78 - 80= C+ 0- 64= F
