« Silungan Baltapa », une épopée chantée par les populations Sama des archipels
de Sulu et Tawi-Tawi (Philippines), est présentée ici en trois langues : sinama, français
et anglais. De plus, le récit de « Al Mi crâj », le Livre de l’Échelle, est présenté en
français et en anglais. L’analyse interprétative de six chercheurs mettant en œuvre
l’ethnographie, la poétique, l’ethnomusicologie et la théologie permet l’émergence d’une
anthropologie sama où la nature, la surnature et l’Islam sont en constante interrelation.
Un DVD-Video incluant l’intégrale du chant et 115 photographies accompagne ce livre
multimédia.
« Silungan Baltapa », an epic of the Sama people from Sulu and Tawi-Tawi
archipelagos (Philippines), is presented here in three langages: Sinama, French and
English. In addition, the narrative of « Al Mi crâj », The Book of the Ladder, is presented
in French and in English. From the approach of ethnography, poetics, ethnomusicology
and theology, six scholars propose an interpretative analysis from which an anthropology
of the Sama emerges. Here, the sensible, the suprasensible and Islam are intertwined.
The sung performance plus 115 photographs are on a DVD-Video, making this a multi
media book.
