Aujourd’hui, nous allons répéter le verbe Avoir au présent de l’indicaf, forme armave.
The verb Avoir is one of the most important verbs of the French language because it is used with
other verbs to form some tenses in French, such as passé composé, futur antérieur or plus-que-
parfait. So make sure you know this verb thoroughly.
Exercice 1 : Répétez après moi : Avoir
Now we are going to conjugate the verb. Make sure you repeat out loud, without reading the verb,
and make the same glidings, liaisons and silent leers as I do. Pay parcular aenon to he 3rd
person plural prononciaon, « zon » ; ils ont, elles ont. Contraste with the verb to be, être, 3rd
person plural, which is prononced « sson » : ils sont, elles sont.

Encore, and remember to concentrate on the meaning ; see yourself when you say « je », imagine a
friend when you say « tu », a group of people when you say « ils » etc...
