SUMMARY
The object of this study, concerns the description of the appraisal of screening of the
cancer of the collar in the prefecture of Rabat and that de Skhirat Temara.
It is a qualitative coeducational descriptive study, shirt foibles of discussions semi
directive accomplished with a group (N = 41) of doctors administrators, contractors
at the level of both areas (public and private) and members of associations implicated
in the conflict against the cancer of the collar. And quantitative based on an
anonymous questionnaire managed to a sample based on a choice reasoned by the
women at the level of two centres of health, urban and country during a period of two
weeks (N = 272).
The inquiry to the women whose medium age is of 42,7 years [IC in 95 %: 32,3-
53,0], shows that the proportion of the women who declared to know the cancer of
the collar is 91,2 % in the urban centre of health against 21,3 % in the centre of
country health. Television represents the main source of information (75,2 %). And
that alone 9,1 % of the women declared to know the existence of a test of screening
and 5,9 % once accomplished it in life.
Discussions revealed, that in the private area, the screening of the cancer of the collar
is made by the systematic realization of cervico-vaginal smear.
While at the level of the public area, the screening of the cancer of the collar is
accomplished during the mobile campaigns. It became systematic for one year at the
level of the National Centre of Reproductive Health in the motherhood of Orange
trees and at the women hospitalized in motherhood Souissi.
The ignorance of the test by the wives and the lack of the medium financiers are the
main brakes in the membership of the women in screening.
It takes place there the necessity to set up a strategy of screening organized by the
cancer of the uterine collar. This is nowadays possible in our country thanks to the
existence of opportunities across the political will of high level, the sensitization of
the dealers and multistructure involvement.
