How to form the perfect tense
•Made up of two parts:
1. The auxiliary verb
–Use the correct part of the present tense of
the verb ‘avoir’.
2. The past participle
a) Take the infinitive, remove the ‘er’, add ‘é’.
•E.g. regarder regard regardé
b) Take the infinitive, remove the ‘re’, add ‘u’
•E.g. vendre vendvendu
c) Take the infinitive, remove the ‘ir’, add ‘i’
•E.g. finir fin fini
•re vend vendu
