SAVOIR LE SUBJONCTIF?

Il y a deux modes de verbes en français:
l’indicatif et le subjonctif.
The indicative mode, which includes
présent, passé composé, imparfait, futur,
conditionnel, etc., indicates what is, was, or
will be true.
The subjunctive allows one to state what may or
may not be, or to react emotionally to an event.

The subjunctive is used at times in English,
though more so in French. For example,
Indicative: She ARRIVES on time.
Subjunctive: IT’S IMPORTANT THAT she
ARRIVE on time.
Indicative: I WAS happy.
Subjunctive: I WISH THAT I
WERE happy.
