The SPORTEL Illustrated Sport Book Awards (p.3)
Created by Prince Alexandre de Merode and Renaud de Laborderie 15 years ago, the
SPORTEL Illustrated Sport Book Awards is now named The SPORTEL Illustrated Sport
Book Awards - Renaud de Laborderie in tribute to the Secretary of the Prize, who passed
away this year.
This competition awards the best illustrated sport books of the year, those that greatly bring
out the diversity and emotions aroused by Sport.
In 2011, 42 books from 6 countries participated in the competition.
Two prestigious partners reward the winning books’ authors award the winning authors:
