The baroreceptor
The adrenergics receptors:
•Alpha-receptors are located on the arteries
(skin vessels, kidneys, gastrointestinal system).
•α1-adrenergic receptors are present in the
skin, the sphincters of gastrointestinal system,
kidney (renal artery) and brain.
•Alpha 2 receptors in the brain stem and in the
periphery inhibit sympathetic activity
Beta 1receptors are located in the heart.
The beta 2receptors are located in the
bronchioles of the lungs and the arteries of the
skeletal muscles
