Receptors of tissue of cardiovascular system and the points of attachement of drugs The baroreceptor The adrenergics receptors: • Alpha-receptors are located on the arteries (skin vessels, kidneys, gastrointestinal system). • α1-adrenergic receptors are present in the skin, the sphincters of gastrointestinal system, kidney (renal artery) and brain. • Alpha 2 receptors in the brain stem and in the periphery inhibit sympathetic activity Beta 1 receptors are located in the heart. The beta 2 receptors are located in the bronchioles of the lungs and the arteries of the skeletal muscles Alpha 2 receptors: • Alpha 2 receptors in the brain stem and in the periphery inhibit sympathetic activity and reduce blood pressure. Beta blockers effect: Alpha1 blockers: •Prazosin •Terazosin •Doxazosine •Alfuzosin&Bunazosin •Tamsulosin&Silodosin Alpha2 blockers: • Yohimbine • Idozoxan Beta 1 receptors: Beta 1 receptors are located in the heart. When Beta 1 receptors are stimulated they increase the heart rate and increase the heart's strength of contraction or contractility. The beta 2 receptors: The beta 2 receptors are located in the bronchioles of the lungs and the arteries of the skeletal muscles β-2 receptors Bronchial smooth muscle Smooth muscle Bronchodilata tion relaxation blood oxygenation Vasodilatation
