The Rideau Club welcomes leading British intellectual
Ziauddin Sardar, who specializes in Muslim thought, Islamic
science, and the future of Islam. He is the editor of the
journal Futures, a professor at Middlesex University, and has produced countless
programs for British television, including BBC. A believing Muslim and a physicist,
Pakistan-born Prof. Sardar is a critic of Islam and says its attitudes towards women
and minorities need to fundamentally change. He was a commissioner of the U.K.’s
Equality & Human Rights Commission and a member of the National Security Forum.

Le Rideau Club accueille Ziauddin Sardar, intellectuel britannique renommé qui
se spécialise dans le domaine de la pensée musulmane, des sciences islamiques
et de l’avenir de l’Islam. Il est rédacteur en chef de la publication Futures .
Professeur à la Middlesex University, il a produit un grand nombre d’émissions
pour la télévision britannique, y compris pour la chaîne BBC. Musulman croyant
et physicien, le professeur Sardar, qui est né au Pakistan, porte un regard
critique sur l’Islam dont les attitudes envers les femmes et les minorités doivent
