Dans l’un des derniers numéros de Progrès en urologie (Progrès en urologie 23(2013) 222-224), le comité de rédaction de
la revue a accepté un article qui avait été soumis simultanément à une autre revue (i.e., Case Reports in Urology, Hindawi).
Le premier auteur, responsable de cette soumission à Progrès en urologie n’en a pas informé les co-auteurs. De ce fait,
aucun des autres auteurs présents sur cet article n’étaient au courant de la double soumission. Les deux articles ayant été
acceptés, à quelques semaines d’intervalles, sans que les comités puissent le savoir, la rédaction de Progrès en urologie a
décidé de faire retirer cet article de la revue [Prog Urol, 23(2013) 222—224], http://dx.doi.org/<10.1016/j.purol.2013.01.
002>.
Le comité de rédaction de Progrès en urologie toujours soucieux de faire respecter les bonnes pratiques et les règles
d’éthique en vigueur dans de la publication scientifique et médicale (voir l’éditorial publié dans le numéro de septembre
2013, vol.23 issue10 p. 839-840) continuera et renforcera, dans le futur, sa vigilance quant à ce type de comportement
non-éthique, à l’égard de cet auteur ou de tout autres auteurs qui se conduiraient ainsi.
In one of the last issue of Progrès en urologie (Progrès en urologie 23(2013) 222-224), the editorial board of the journal
has published an article that has been submitted simultaneously to another journal (i.e., Case Reports in Urology, Hindawi).
The first author has submitted this manuscript to Progrès en urologie on behalf of his colleagues without telling them he
was sending it. Thus, none of the co-authors were warned that this article was sent at the same time in another journal in

french. As both articles have been accepted, the board of Progrès en urologie has decided to retract promptly this duplicate
publication from the journal: [Prog Urol, 23(2013) 222-224], http://dx.doi.org/<10.1016/j.purol.2013.01.002>.
The editorial board of Progrès en urologie is determined to implement ethics and best practices in medical publication
(see editorial in the September issue of the journal) and thus, will maintain his vigilance in the near future to avoid this
kind of scientific behavior from this first specific author and from any other author who would try to submit irrelevant
data.
