As part of training to become engineers specialized in electrical engineering at
Polytech'Clermont-Ferrand, students realized an industrial project. This
document is an application note written by Anass Maach and match with the
2009/2010 project called « Robust and galvanically isolated power cards ».
The project's subject was suggested by Michel James, teacher at
Polytech'Clermont Ferrand, in response to a reoccurring problem in the electric
engineering department which is that of the power part of the motor control.

part which is often a critical element which delay the student's work.
The project's final aim was the creation of four cards which would be more
robust versions than those from previous years. This document describes the
dimensioning of component for a AC/DC converter.
