Un nom +un nom = un nouveau nom!
=> c'est un nom composé
Le test consiste tout simplement à trouver l'expression correspondant à la définition.
Le premier nom ressemblera plutôt à un adjectif et est habituellement singulier, même si le sens est pluriel.
ex: 'a shop that sells shoes' = 'a shoe shop'...
On sème 2 noms on en récolte 3!
et non a shoes shop.

Les noms composés
En anglais, de nombreux mots sont composés à partir de 2 mots distincts. On appelle ces mots des noms
composés. Ils comportent souvent 2 parties. La deuxième partie identifie l'objet ou la personne dont on parle (man,
friend, tank, table, room). La première partie attribue une caractéristique, une qualité ou un but à cette
chose/personne (police, boy, water, dining, bed).
Les 2 parties peuvent être rassemblées de plusieurs façons:
1. en un seul mot:
Exemples: policeman, boyfriend
2. en 2 mots séparés par un trait d'union:
Exemples: dining-table
3. en 2 mots juxtaposés:
Exemples: fish tank.
Il n'y a pas de règle précise qui régit ces formations.
