The wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD):
protecting patients from the risk of sudden cardiac death
This program will present the wearable cardioverter
defibrillator (WCD) as an effective therapeutic tool to
protect your patients from the risk of sudden cardiac
death. An overview of the actual significance and
clinical data of the WCD, including the WEARIT
II Registry and the new ESC Guidelines, will be
discussed.
You will learn more about the practical application
of the system, its indications and how to establish
an appropriate care path in your hospital. Clinical
case scenarios will provide more information on the
optimal patient selection and follow-up.
