I acknowledge that I have reviewed the contents in this course syllabus for
(HUM 451-3 Anglais / Développement personnel et professional).
I attest that I understand each of the following:
1. I understand that three (3) or more missed assignments will result in my final
course grade being lowered.
2. I understand that Excused absences should be communicated to the instructor
either through a formal letter or via e-mail. The date and reason for absence
should be clearly stated in the letter and signed by the student.
3. I understand that I take responsibility for submitting my own original work and
writing. When I use the writings and ideas of others I will provide proper
documentation. This is academic honesty. If I either voluntarily or unknowingly fail
to properly attribute credit to or adequately document external sources when I
use the writings or ideas of others, then I am being scholastically dishonest.
Should this occur I understand that I will receive appropriate penalties. (For
example: cheating on an assignment, plagiarizing, failing to include clear and
appropriate attribution of sources) will receive a grade of zero (“0”). It is possible,
depending upon the circumstances, that a student who is academically dishonest
may receive a (“Failing”) for a final course grade.
4. I understand that major writing assignments must be properly and promptly
submitted in an 8½” X 11" paper.
5. I understand that all homework must be typed, and no late homework will be
accepted (except under extenuating circumstances)
6. I understand that the instructor reserves the right to adjust the grades, upward
only based on individual class participation if numerical grade warrants such
consideration.
7. I understand that without previous permission, a student will be considered late
10 minutes after the class’s scheduled time
8. I understand that this class will help me to develop myself professionally
personally and also improve my English level.
