THREE PRINCIPLE THAT TRULLY IMPRESSED ME FROM “START WITH WHY”
Somemes life seems to be unfair because it looks like some people really struggle to succeed while
other seam to aract success easily. I remember there was me I was thinking exactly that way and
believe that it is unfair to see the ones being rich and the other being poor. But over the last few years,
I began to understand the reason of this and this week, my understanding of this increased much more
when I read the book “start with why”. Over my reading of that book, I was impressed by the principles
that are noted in. here are three principles that really impressed me.
First, great leaders always begin by determined the why, then the what and nally the how while the
others start by what, how and then have the why backward. In this principle, I came to understand that
when we know the why rst, we tend to nd people who work with us not because of what they earn
but because they believe in what we believe. The second Principle that impressed me is that great
leaders use inspiraon over manipulaon. When we inspire people, we have them with us for long
term and we build trust because of our loyalty. While the use of manipulaon forces them to act and
then aer a short while they will nally run away for, they realized that we are only take advantage of
them. The last principle is that success comes when a good thinker works along with a good doer.
Someone who has great ideas need someone who like taking acon and do things like they are meant
to do.
Now that I understood verry well the reason of great leader’s success, I plan to pracce these principles
in the following two ways: rst, I will write on a piece of paper my WHY and think of WHAT then end
by HOW. Secondly, from now on, I will do my best while talking to people to inspire them instead of
using manipulaon.
Summing up, life is not unfair, people are just free to chose a best way of doing things to succeed, as
the principles above noted, great leader and successful people think and act dierently than the other,
that the biggest secret.
