IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
There are 2 plans that will be submitted one for Ikhala and one for DHET.
IKHALA
1. Inspection of facilities –01/03/2022
2. Recruitment of learners--21-28/02/2022
3. Learner orientation--01/03/2022 (IKHALA HALL)
4. Learner tour of the campus-- 02/03/2022
5. Classes start-07/03/2022 --(Theory Mon to Thur and Prac every Friday)
6. 2 venues will be utilised

FACILITATOR RECRUITMENT
•There are 2 facilitators
•PLUMBING BEN MOKWENA
•He is available immediately he has worked with DICLA before with the
PWD. Also an assessor
•CARPENTRY TSHIKOSI MULWELA
•Available end of March he is not an assessor so also looking for
another option/ will also speak to the Ikhala lecturer

TRADE TEST
•There is trade test in Port Elizabeth (ETC)
•It’s a multi purpose trade Centre and offers both plumbing and
carpentry
•We will call to organize an appointment so that we can negotiate a
good price for 85 learners.

BUDGET
•We have a provisional budget but can only be presented after we
know what consumables we will need at Ikhala once we have site
visit. This depends on the follow up meeting we will have with Ikhala
management.
