We would like to find out more about children who can speak Farsi and are learning to speak French and English at the same time. I am inviting you to participate in this study because you can speak Farsi, and you are learning to speak English and French at school. You are between 7-17 years of age, and your parents are immigrants. If you agree to join this study, you will be asked to answer some questions, describe your favourite object that represents the Farsi language, write a little paragraph, draw and colour some pictures. It will take like two hours and a half for your to do all of these. I will only meet you only once online. You will answer some questions on your computer, draw and write a little paragraph whenever you like. Your parents will not be present when you answer my questions. After the end of the study, I will use some of your answers, drawings, and pictures to write some reports. I will publish these reports. The reports will not include your name or that you were in the study This study will help us learn more about children who speak learn to speak several languages. You do not have to join this study. It is up to you. You can say okay now and change your mind later. All you have to do is tell us you want to stop. No one will be mad at you if you don’t want to be in the study or if you join the study and change your mind later and stop. There might be some questions that make you upset. You can skip the questions that you don’t like. The information collected about you during this study will be kept safely locked up. Nobody will know it except the people doing the research. The study information about you will be given to your parents. The researchers will not tell your friends or anyone else. And you are not going to write your names on your drawings or writings or sign them. Before you say yes or no to being in this study, we will answer any questions you have. If you join the study, you can ask questions at any time. Just tell the researcher that you have a question.
