There are 16 cards with 12 words each.
I’ve grouped the words around themes:
I’ve decided not to include articles. Instead, I’ve added a (f) for feminine words and (m) for masculine words.
A common mistake for students is to think that an article is ALWAYS attached to a noun. When they see “le chien” on a
card and want to write “I see a dog”, they might write “Je vois un le chien”. Whereas, if they know that “chien” is a
masculine word, they get to decide whether they want to use “un” or “le”.
You can print the cards on card stock paper, punch a hole on each card, and keep them in a binder ring.
Pages 13-14 are alternative alternative page with “pastèque” instead of “melon d’eau” and “glace” instead of “crème
glacée”, and “bonnet”, “moufle”, “basket”, and “pull” instead of “tuque”, “mitaine”, “soulier”, and “chandail”.
If there are any typos, or you would like me to change a word because there’s another term you use in your region/
country, email me: [email protected]
