The aim of the thesis is the analysis of twentieth­century rewritings of the Greek myth of Alcestis.
I analyzed the myth of Alcestis by Euripides, then I studied the poem by Rilke, the play by Raboni and Yourcenar, and finally I established a parallel between the three works.
