The verb « venir » is an irregular verb. It has several verbs that are conjugated like it but the most
important are « devenir » and « revenir »
VERB : Venir – to ____come_____
VERB : Revenir – to ____come back___
VERB : Devenir – to __become__
Note the interrogative expression « d’où », it means __from where?______
Ex : D’où viens-tu ? __From where do you come?__
p.219 Grammaire B: La préposition de ; de + l’article défini (THE)
The preposition “de” has several meanings depending on the context: _FROM_, _OF_ or _ABOUT_
There is a liaison after “des” when it precedes a vowel sound. This liaison makes a _”Z”_ sound.
Examples: You come back from the pool. Tu reviens de la piscine.________
Marc comes from the cafe.______Marc vient du café.___________
