Abstract
Energy has known great changes throughout the last years. The cost of fossil fuel has
risen considerably; which leaves consumers who are dependant of electricity produced by
fuels, financially vulnerable to those augmentations. Furthermore, as a result of the increase
of fossil fuels prices, the client sees his financial status weaken considerably.
The aim of this final project in Electromechanical Engineering at University of
Quebec in Abitibi-Temiscamigue is to improve the cost linked to the consummation of
electricity for the client who owns a hostel (Domaine de l'Érablière de Rémigny). Since this
client does not have any access to current electricity on his domain he needs to employ
generators. This problematic obviously makes the customer very exposed to important raise
of fossil fuels prices.
Nevertheless, to solve the issues, the client desires to install a windmill. This report
will explain in details all the aspects of the windmill which the client has chosen himself, and
the beneficial studies of such a project.
A windmill will shield, the client from any other important rise of fuel prices in a near
future and at the same time, it will also improve his financial status. In the long run, it will
allow the domain to develop itself fully without additional costs. In order to take the first
steps into accomplishing the main goal, the windmill in question has been determined with
the available composites already established on the marketplace.
