Bei hohen Gleichstromlasten
treten beim Öffnen der Kontak-
te Lichtbogen auf, die nicht ab-
reißen und die Kontakte inner-
halb von Sekunden zerstören
können. Um ein Mehrfaches
der ohne Blasung zu beherr-
schenden Schaltleistung schal-
ten zu können und eine vorzei-
tige Zerstörung der Kontakte zu
vermeiden, sorgt ein perma-
nentes Magnetfeld dafür, daß
der Lichtbogen von den Kon-
takten abgelenkt wird und
verlischt.
Switching high DC-loads, upon
opening the contacts appear
arcs which do not break and
can destroy the contacts within
seconds. To switch a multiple
of the ratings that can be
reached without blow-out and
to avoid an anticipated destruc-
tion of the contacts, the arcs
are leaded away from the con-
tacts and blown out by a per-
manent magnetic field.
Au delà de certaines limites de
commutation de tensions con-
tinues, apparaissent à l’ouver-
ture des contacts des arcs élec-
triques qui peuvent détruire les
contacts en l’espace de quel-
ques secondes. Afin d’aug-
menter la durée de vie des con-
tacts pour ce type de commuta-
tion et pour éviter la destruction
prématurée des contacts, il est
possible d’adjoiindre au bloc de
contacts un champ magnétique
constitué par un aimant perma-
nent, que va dévier l’arc élec-
trique jusqu’à extinction com-
plète.
