• Les verbes modaux sont: pouvoir
vouloir
devoir
savoir: to know how to
• On les utilise avec un infinitif:
Je veux aller aux magasins
Je peux faire mes devoirs
Je sais parler le français
Mes parents doivent travailler
C’est impossible d’avoir deux verbes au
présent dans la même partie de la phrase!

Au négatif!
Il faut mettre le négatif autour du verbe modal:
Je ne peux pas sortir ce soir.
Il ne veut plus voyager en Australie.
Ma famille ne sait jamais où aller le week-end.
Mes amis ne doivent rien apporter quand ils
viennent chez moi.
On va pratiquer un peu!!
