This is why commercial units rely on chillers rated for continuous duty rather than the smaller
compressors found in residential models. A proper commercial chiller is sized not just for the
volume of water in the tub, but for the recovery time needed between sessions. If a facility is
running back-to-back appointments, the chiller needs to pull heat out of the water fast enough
that client number ten gets the same experience as client number one. Anything less, and the
business is not actually delivering a consistent commercial cold plunge experience; it is
delivering a lottery where some clients get proper cold therapy and others get lukewarm water.
Digital controllers matter just as much as raw cooling power. Operators need the ability to set an
exact target temperature, monitor it in real time, and receive alerts if the reading drifts outside

sensor, a chiller running inefficiently, or poor calibration, clients can be exposed to conditions
beyond what they consented to or what is appropriate for their health status. This becomes a
