
REFLEXION
As seen above, I made a board listing 20 words that we learn within the first five years of our
lives. The 20 words that I’ve chosen are typically words that you would use in your everyday
life such as greetings, how you feel, what you need/want, what you’re seeing or doing and
who you’re talking to. For example, “Sad” and “Happy” are emotions that you feel and “Yes”
or “No” are words that you’re taught as a child to get something you need. I chose these
words because when learning a new language all of the aspects listed previously are
important to communicate with someone in your day-to-day life. In all the three languages
chosen from the Romance family, they have many similar words (highlighted below) further
demonstrating how languages from the same family tree contain many similarities in
vocabulary and alphabet.
