PRONUNCIATION FOCUS
The /h/ sound: 'hello', 'have', 'hobby', 'happy'. Many
French speakers drop this push air through your
mouth before the vowel.
PHRASAL VERB
to be into something = to really like it. 'I'm into

1. Listen to the video once WITHOUT reading just focus on the sounds and rhythm.
2. Listen again and write down every word you catch (don't worry about gaps).
3. SHADOWING: Play 1015 second clips and repeat OUT LOUD, matching speed and intonation.
4. Pronunciation focus: Practice the /ɪ/ sound 'I'm', 'in', 'interesting', 'from'. Say each 5 times.
5. Say the alphabet aloud in English, then spell your own first and last name.

7. Read your introduction aloud 3 times each time a little faster.
8. MINI CHALLENGE: Record yourself on your phone. Listen back. Note what sounds unnatural.
9. Grammar drill: Practice 'I am / I have / I like / I don't like' write 2 sentences for each.
10. Mini quiz: Cover the French column of today's vocab table and translate each word from memory.

11. Open Claude in voice mode and introduce yourself as if meeting a new English-speaking colleague.
12. Write a 5-sentence journal entry: 'Today I started learning English intensively. I feel...'
13. Read your vocab list one final time and try to use each word in a short sentence.
14. Reflection: What was hardest today? Write one sentence about it in English.

16. SHADOWING: Repeat 3 sentences from the video with the exact same rhythm and stress.
17. Pronunciation focus: -ing endings 'waking', 'eating', 'going'. Keep the /ŋ/ nasal, not /n/.
18. Practice the Present Simple: 'Every morning I...' say 5 sentences about your own routine.
19. Time expressions drill: 'at 7am / around noon / in the evening / at night / every day'. Say them aloud.

30. SHADOWING: Imitate the waiter/customer exchanges focus on politeness and natural intonation.
31. Pronunciation: 'th' sounds in food words: 'thanks', 'that', 'three', 'there'. Tongue between teeth!
32. Restaurant roleplay in your head: You sit down, ask for the menu, order, and ask for the bill.
33. Make a list in English of your 5 favourite foods and describe each with one adjective.
