Share your knowledge with others. Don't hold back information that others
can use to better their lives. Be selfless with information and allow those
around you to prosper right alongside you. When you show others that you are
willing to share what you know, they will reciprocate by sharing what they
know with you, and everyone will benefit.
Don't try to set goals for the rest of your life immediately. Instead, focus on a
shorter period of time, such as the next six months or five years. This will help
you to form a goal that is bigger than who you are right now, but does not
make you feel so overwhelmed that you fail to try and reach it.
Acknowledge the positive steps you are taking right now. Completely focusing
on the negative makes you feel depressed, and like you can't accomplish
anything. Instead, give yourself credit for who you are, where you're at, and
what you're striving to be. Giving yourself a pat on the back is important, and
you won't succeed without doing so.
If you find that you are not keeping your cool in a particular situation, stop
and take a personal time out. Stopping and counting to ten is going to give you
the chance to think about what you are going to say or do next and can help
you to avoid making the wrong move.
It may become discouraging to begin developing better personal habits and
lifestyles, but once you start noticing your life developing towards a better
future, you will never want to stop. You can always develop better ways to do
things and it's important to always try hard towards any personal
development goals you have.
