Sustainable hot water solutions
for aged care facility in Malaysia
Malaysia’s ageing population – like many countries around the world – is
growing significantly. And, in addition to an advancing aged population, older
people are also living longer as evidenced by an increase in life expectancy.
The Government of Malaysia has estimated that by 2030, 15 per cent of the
country’s population will be classified as senior citizens (aged 60 and above).
Its objective is to prepare the nation as an ageing population, which includes
improving the infrastructure and facilities at old folks homes.
Partially subsidised by the government, Rumah Sejahtera Seri Setia in Petaling
Jaya is home to about 60 elderly citizens aged from 60 to 100 years old. To
improve quality of life and reduce costs associated with providing an essential
service such as hot water, management needed a sustainable solution.
In addition to being reliable, the hot water system needed to be competitively
priced, backed by a manufacturers warranty and supported with reliable
after sales service. The undisputed choice? SolarMate.
