Estos autoclaves permiten procesos de esterilización de sólidos con y sin embalaje, liquidos, medios de cultivo y priones. También permiten ciclos de desinfección así como secado. 5.1 Definiciones: 5.1.2 Esterilización Se entiende por esterilizar la destrución de o eliminación de toda forma de vida microbiana, incluyendo esporas- presente en objetos inanimados. 5.1.3 Desinfección Se entiende por desinfección el proceso de destrución de agentes infecciosos. Se realiza a temperatura més baja que la esterilización. La Desinfección consigue eliminar sólo algunas formas vegetativas. 5.1.4 Medios de cultivo Material nutritivo en el que se pueden recuperar, multiplicar y aislar los microorganismos, así como efectuar pruebas de suceptivilidad. Generalmente se presentan desecados en forma de polvo fino o granular, pero también pueden presentarse hidratados y preparados. No deben utilizarse sin antes ser esterilizados. 5.1.5 Priones Los priones son partículas acelulares, patógenas y transmisibles. Se caracterizan por producir enfermedades que afectan al sistema nervioso central (SNC). Los priones no son seres vivos, son partículas exclusivamente proteicas sin ácido nucleico. Su acción patógena consiste en ser una forma modificada de una proteína natural existente en el organismo que al entrar en contacto con las proteínas originales las induce a adoptar la forma del prión, que suele ser una forma anormal y disfuncional, todo ello en una acción en cadena que acaba por destruir la operatividad de todas las proteínas sensibles al prión. 5.1.6 Purgado El purgado es el ciclo mediante el cual se elimina el aire del interior de la caldera con el fin de conseguir vapor saturado. 5.1.7 Vapor saturado Vapor de agua a una temperatura correspondiente al punto de ebullición del liquido origen. 5.1.8 Purgado atmosférico En el purgado atmosférico el aire sale al exterior de forma gravimètrica, impusado por el vapor durante un tiempo determinado. 5.1.9 Purgado por vacío fraccionado El purgado por vacío fraccionado combina el calentamiento de la caldera con con la extracción de aire mediante bomba de vacío. Durante el ciclo de purgado la caldera puede alcanzar dos veces o tres veces (según modo de trabajo configurado) un alto nivel de vacío. La fiabilidad del pugado es mayor que con el purgado atmostérico. 5.1.10 Test de Bowie Dick El ensayo de Bowie Dick sirve para verificar el funcionamiento de los esterilizadores de vapor de agua aplicable a los productos envueltos y cargas porosas. 5.1.11 Test de vacío Test destinado a verificar el funcionamiento de la bomba de vacío y la estanqueidad de la la cámara y el circuito hidráulico durante un tiempo determinado. Sistema de cierre radial de 6 puntos. 2. Generador de vapor externo al depósito principal. 3. Multiples modalidades de funcionamiento totalmente configurables por el usuario. 4. Menus de operación totalmente intuitivos 5. Preparadas para funcionar con dos sondas. La instalación de la segunda sonda (cód. 4001219) debe ser realizada en fábrica. 6. NII Km 585.1 Abrera 08630 (Barcelona) España e-mail: selecta @jpselecta.es - website: http://www.jpselecta.es Tel 34 937 700 877 Fax 34 937 702 362 INSTRUCTION MANUAL CODE 80206 REV A Marzo/07 (It can be modified without notice) Page: 11 7 Instalación 7.1 Situar el autoclave cerca de una toma de corriente adecuado al consumo de la máquina. 7.2 El autoclave se asentará sobre una superficie plana, horizontal y estable, dejando un espacio libre de 10cm alrededor de la máquina. 7.3 Inmovilizar el autoclave,ajustándolo al suelo, mediante los topes situados en la parte anterior del aparato, previstos para tal efecto. 7.4 Fijar un tubo en la tetina para recoger los condensados que se forman durante las fases en que funciona la bomba de vacío. No colocar el recipiente de recogida a un nivel superior al de la tetina. 7.5 ENTRADA EXTERIOR DE AGUA: 7.5.1 El autoclave se puede llenar a través de la red exterior mediante una toma de 3/4" tal y como se indica en la foto. La presión de suministro nunca debe ser superior a 2bar. Esta forma de llenado debe de configurarse. Ver apartado 9.6. ATENCIÓN No usar la opción de vaciado exterior sin antes haber conectado una manguera de presión. Fijar la manguera de manera que no pueda moverse por efecto de la presión al final del ciclo. No sujetar la manguera con las manos, puede sufrir quemaduras. 7.6 SELECCIÓN DEL SISTEMA DE DRENAJE: J.P. SELECTA s.a. 7.6.1 Con la válvula selectora indicada, si se quiere recuperar el agua al final de cada proceso de esterilizado, colocar el mando de dicha válvula señalándolo hacia el interior de la máquina. 7.6.2 Si se quiere expulsar el agua al exterior, al final de cada proceso de esterilizado, colocar el mando de dicha válvula en dirección al exterior. Fijar una manguera en la tetina de salida de la válvula y fijar también el otro extremo a un recipiente o desague, procurando NO OBSTRUIR EL TUBO. Ctra. NUNCA SUJETE LA MANGUERA COLOCADA EN LA TETINA DE LA VÁLVULA (18) CON LA MANO YA QUE PODRÍA CAUSAR QUEMADURAS IMPORTANTES. 8 Funcionamiento 8 NO SE PUEDE ABRIR LA TAPA DEL AUTOCLAVE SI LA MÁQUINA NO ESTÁ CONECTADA A LA RED Y EL INTERRUPTOR PRINCIPAL ILUMINADO. SIN ESTAS CONDICIONES NO FORZAR LA PALANCA DE APERTURA 8.1 PUESTA EN MARCHA Poner en marcha mediante el interruptor general(7). Llenar el depósito (8) de agua con unos 8 litros aproximadamente. Comprobar que esté cerrada la válvula de vaciado vapor(12). Colocar la bandeja en el fondo de la caldera. Colocar el material a esterilizar. Cerrar la tapa. Nota informativa En los procesos en que la máquina esté fría antes de su puesta en marcha necesitaremos un precalentamiento de entre 10 y 15 minutos. Precalentamiento: Enchufar, pulsar el interruptor general y dejar la máquina encendida durante los 10-15 minutos. 8.2 PROGRAMACIÓN Una vez pulsado el interruptor general (7), el display mostrará durante unos segundos un mensaje de inicio: Marca - Versión del Software - Modelo A continuación aparecerá el mensaje por defecto que corresponderá al último programa utilizado. Si el programa corresponde a la operación deseada el equipo se puede poner en marcha mediante el pulsador marcha/paro; se encenderá el led (3). Para elegir las diferentes operaciones que dispone el equipo para su utilización vea el punto 8, diagrama general de menús, donde podrá cambiar todos l os parámetros necesarios para su óptimo funcionamiento J.P. Aparecerá durante unos segundos la pantalla de confrimación «SELECTED» Finalmente aparecerá la pantalla por defecto con el programa seleccionado. A través del menú «PROGRAMS» pulsamos el monomando para acceder a los diferentes programas. Girando el botón podemos colocarnos en el número de programa que mas se adapta a nuestras necesidades y para poderlo modificar. Pulsando el botón monomando aparecerá «SELECT». Giramos el botón para que aparezca «MODIFY», volvemos a pulsar el botón, aparecerá en pantalla el programa que queremos modificar. Una vez modificado el programa pulsamos el botón y aparecerá «SELECT», pulsamos nuevamente para validar, aparecerá durante unos segundos la pantalla «SELECTED». Girar el botón y aparecerá en pantalla «CONFIGURATION». Pulsar el botón monomando y aparecerá en pantalla «LANGUAGE». Girar el botón hasta que aparezca el submenú «CLOCK». Una vez configurados los parámetros del reloj pulsaremos el botón monomando y aparecerá en la pantalla durante unos segundos «NEW DATA», que significa que se han validado los parámetros modificados. SELECTA s.a. Error Descripción 01 Error EEPROM defectuoso. 02 Error del sensor de presión. Sensor defectuoso o cable cortado. 10 Depósito de agua vacío. 12 Puerta abierta. 13 Sobrepresión. Se ha superado la presión máxima de +2.5bar. 14 Error de vacío. Hay una fuga o la bomba está averiada. 15 Error de presión durante las fracciones. No queda agua o resistencia defectuosa. 16 Sobretemperatura en la caldera. Se ha superado los 150ºC en el interior. 17 Sobretemperatura en la faja. Se ha superado los 150ºC en el exterior. 18 Error de esterilización. Se han superado los márgenes de consigna o queda aire en el interior. 19 No se llega a la consigna. No queda agua o la resistencia está defectuosa. 20 Tarda demasiado tiempo en vaciar la presión y el agua de la caldera. Válvulas o conductos obstruidos. 21 Se ha acabado el papel de la impresora. 22 Error de la impresora. Posiblemente se halla atascado el papel. 23 Error de alimentación (Se detecta en la puesta en marcha). 24 Error en el test de vacío. Ctra. Después aclararlo con abundante agua. No cargar en exceso las bandejas, gradillas o cestillos, procurando dejar siempre un espacio entre ellos de 1 ó 2 cm, a fin de favorecer el paso del vapor y facilitar el secado. 11.1 Esterilización de instrumentos a granel: Colocar el instrumental sobre el papel hidrófugo en posición abierta y que no se toquen entre sí. Evitar colocar en una misma bandeja instrumental de diferente tipo de metal. 11.2 Esterilizar instrumental en bolsas: No debe de haber más de un instrumento por bolsa. Colocar las bolsas sobre papel hidrófugo, en posición vertical que no se toquen entre sí ni tampoco las paredes del autoclave. 11.3 Tubos: Los tubos deben estar perfectamente limpios, aclarados y escurridos. Colocar los tubos, a poder ser, abiertos por ambos lados. Procurar que los tubos no toquen la pared del autoclave, ni que formen dobleces que obstruyan el diámetro interior. 11.4 Recipientes: Nunca colocar recipientes herméticamente cerrados. Colocar los recipientes boca abajo para evitar los depósitos de agua. 11.5 Líquidos: Colocar los líquidos a esterilizar en recipientes preparados para soportar la temperatura de esterilización; y, encima de bandejas, para que se puedan recoger posibles derrames. Los recipientes se llenarán sobre los 2/3 de su capacidad. NO SE CERRARAN herméticamente, se taparán con algodón o algún tipo de tapón que facilite la salida de aire del recipiente y no se forme presión. Se evitará utilizar recipientes de cuello estrecho. Al final del ciclo de esterilización, se dejará que el autoclave se enfríe lentamente (hasta que la presión sea 0 kg/cm²). J.P. SELECTA s.a. Ctra. NII Km 585.1 Abrera 08630 (Barcelona) España e-mail: selecta @jpselecta.es - website: http://www.jpselecta.es Tel 34 937 700 877 Fax 34 937 702 362 INSTRUCTION MANUAL CODE 80206 REV A Marzo/07 (It can be modified without notice) Page: 27 12 Sistemas de protección 12.1 Presostato de Seguridad: Cuando se produce una sobrepresión anormal en la cámara de esterilización, actúa el presostato de seguridad que para la autoclave y abre la electroválvula de aireación. 12.2 Válvula de Seguridad: Si se produjera una sobrepresión anormal se abriría la válvula de seguridad (10) expulsando el vapor. Dicha válvula está calibrada para que inicie la apertura entre 2.2 kg/ cm² y 2.5 kg/cm². En caso de disparo de la válvula de seguridad debe pararse la máquina y avisar al servicio técnico. 12.3 Termostato de seguridad: Cuando se produce una elevación anormal de temperatura o un descenso considerable del nivel de agua (con la consiguiente sobretemperatura en el generador de vapor), entra en funcionamiento el termostato de seguridad (14) parando la calefacción. En caso de bloqueo de la apertura de la puerta por avería del sistema de seguridad seguir el siguiente protocolo: 1 Parar la máquina. 2 Desenchufarla de la red. 3 Poner una tetina y un tubo en la válvula de aireación (11). 4 Abrir la válvula con cuidado para que salga el vapor. Tomar las precauciones necesarias para evitar quemaduras. 5 Esperar el total vaciado del vapor. 6 Con el tirador suministrado con la máquina proceder de la siguiente manera (ver fotos): Mirar con la ayuda de una linterna en el interior de la rejilla de apertura de la tapa; localizar el mecanismo de cierre y verá la palanca de apertura del mismo. Una vez localizado introducir el tirador en la rejilla con cuidado y desplazar la palanca hacia el exterior. Mantener la palanca en esta posición mientras abrimos simultáneamente la tapa mediante la maneta de la puerta. J.P. SELECTA s.a. Ctra. Estos parámetros deberian cambiarse sólo cuando los valores iniciales seleccionados no satisfagan las necesidades de las aplicaciones. Para poder acceder al nivel de calibración lo haremos del siguiente modo: Aparecerá la pantalla principal. Pulsar el botón monomando y aparecerá la pantalla «PROGRAMS». Girar de nuevo hasta que aparezca «CONFIGURATION». Pulsamos nuevamente y aparecerá en pantalla «LANGUAGE», giraremos el botón hasta que aparezca en pantalla «PASSWORD». Pulsamos el botón y entraremos en la pantalla «ENTER PASSWORD», el código por defecto es «0000» (el usuario puede cambiar la contraseña si lo desea a través de «CHANGE PASSWORD»); pulsar nuevamente y aparecerá «ENTER PASSWORD OK», girar el botón monomando hasta que aparezca «EXIT». Pulsando el botón aparecerá en pantalla «CONFIGURATION», giraremos el botón hasta que aparezca «CALIBRATION», pulsaremos el botón y entraremos dentro de los submenús siguientes: «INTERNAL TEMP» «EXTERNAL TEMP» «PRESSURE» «PREHEAT» «COUNTER» En estos submenús nos permite modificar el cero de las sondas de temperatura y presión, cambiar la consigna de la temperatura de la faja de cada programa y ver el número de esterilizaciones realizada porla máquina. Giraremos el botón hasta encontrar «EXIT», pulsaremos el botón y aparecerá en pantalla «CONFIGURATION» y giraremos nuevamente el botón hasta que aparezca «EXIT». LIMPIEZA: Para la limpieza de las diferentes piezas de los aparatos, recomendamos los siguientes productos: Limpieza del acero inoxidable: Alcohol. Limpieza de carátulas y plásticos: Alcohol con algodón o con un paño no abrasivo. Limpiar el filtro de vaciado de la caldera, situado en la parte inferior. Está prohibido que frente a esta válvula pueda haber personas, al objeto de evitar daños producidos por un eventual chorro de vapor. Si esto es inevitable, la salida será conducida a lugar seguro, de forma que no pueda causar daños por acción directa del escape 17.2 Legalización de la instalación: La instalación del autoclave debe ser objeto de legalización, ejecutada por un instalador autorizado para esta clase de instalaciones y legalizada de acuerdo con las disposiciones del Art. 14 del Reglamento de Aparatos a Presión. 17.3 Revisiones anuales: Se efectuarán por personal competente, comprobándose el buen estado de funcionamiento y conservación del aparato; se procederá a la comprobación y si procede limpieza o mantenimiento de todos los aparatos de medida, seguridad, automatismos y accesorios. 17.4 Pruebas hidráulicas periódicas: A los 10 años desde la instalación del equipo, y efectuada una revisión anual igual a la indicada en el apartado I.3, se someterá el equipo a una prueba de presión hidráulica de acuerdo con el artículo 16 del vigente Reglamento (1979). La prueba será efectuada por Empresa Instaladora de equipos a presión, por el servicio de conservación del propio usuario o por Empresa de inspección acreditada por la administración. Se levantará acta de prueba, de formato oficial, por triplicado ejemplar, quedando uno en poder del Usuario, otro para la Empresa que ha realizado la prueba y el tercero se remitirá a la Dirección de Industria de la Comunidad Autónoma correspondiente. 17.5 Apertura y cierre de la puerta de carga y descarga: Existen dispositivos de seguridad que bloquean la apertura de la puerta si no existen las condiciones de seguridad para hacerlo. Sin embargo, deben observarse las siguientes precauciones: - La apertura y cierre de la puerta deben ser efectuados por personal previamente informado. - Antes de abrir la puerta el operador se asegurará que el ciclo de trabajo del autoclave ha terminado y de que no existe presión ni nivel de agua en la cámara. No debe superarse en ningún caso la presión máxima admisible (PS = 2,5 bar). 17.7 Mantenimiento - Se comprobará periódicamente el funcionamiento de la válvula de seguridad, presostato, termosstatos, control de nively sondas de presión y tmperatura. - Se comprobará periódicamente el funcionamiento de los demás. - Cuando deban hacerse trabajos de mantenimiento, se despresurizará y enfriará por completo el autoclave y se desconectará de la toma de corriente - Se advierte al personal de mantenimiento que en el autoclave, que está protegido por la carcasa y por tanto no es accesible al personal operador, puede haber partes muy calientes y pueden producirse eventuales escapes de fluidos calientes y a presión, por lo que para acceder a este espacio deben tomarse precauciones tales como: (1) desconectar y enfriar el equipo tal y como se indica más arriba (2) utilizar protecciones adecuadas (3) no manipular aquellos dispositivos que no se conocen, en especial venteos, grifos o conexiones a la atmósfera, por donde se pudiera producir un escape. 17.8 Características del diseño determinantes para la vida del equipo - Fluencia lenta (creep): la temperatura máxima de servicio prevista para este equipo es muy inferior a la temperatura para la cual los materiales empleados presentan deterioro por fluencia lenta. - Fatiga: El equipo ha sido diseñado para resistir con seguridad la presión máxima admisible PS = 2,5 bar, así como la fatiga en los materiales debida a los ciclos de presión (de vacío hasta presión máxima). La vida teórica prevista para el aparato es de 20 años, con régimen de trabajo de 4 operaciones/día 365 días año. En todo caso, la vida real del equipo queda supeditada a las pruebas periódicas de cada 10 años y a las revisiones anuales. - Corrosión: La utilización de acero inoxidable austenítico en la cámara del autoclave garantiza una resistencia a la corrosión adecuada a la acción del agua, vapor y productos a esterilizar. These autoclaves can sterilise solids, with or without being wrapped, liquids, culture media. They also have disinfecting drying cycles. 5.1 Definitions: 5.2 Sterilisation Sterilisation is the destruction or elimination of all forms of microorganisms, including spores present in inanimate objects. 5.3 Disinfect Disinfection is the process of the destruction of microorganisim agents. The temperature used is less than that of sterilisation. 5.4 Culture media A growth medium or culture medium is any substance in which microorganisims or cells can grow and multiply. Microorganisims can therefore can isolated and used in susceptibility testing. Generally produced as dry powder or granular form, but can also be produced as hydrates and preprepared. Should not be used unless they have been sterilised. 5.5 Prions A prion, short for proteinaceous infectious particle that lacks nucleic acid is a type of infectious agent made only of protein. Characterised by producing illnesses that affect the central nervous system (CNS). Prions are believed to infect and propagate by refolding abnormally into a structure which is able to convert normal molecules of the protein into the abnormally structured form. However, the term in itself does not preclude other mechanisms of transmission. 5.6 Purge The purge cycle is when air is eliminated from the interior of the vessel with the objective of producing saturated steam vapour. 5.7 Saturated vapour Water vapour at a temperature corresponding to the ebullition point of the liquid origin. 5.8 Atmospheric purge The term atmospheric purge is when air is expelled gravametrically by vapour for a determined period. 5.9 Pulsed vacuum purge Purging by pulsed vacuum, combines the heating of the vessel with the extraction of air from within the vessel, by use of a vacuum pump. During this purge cycle the vessel can reach two or three times (model configuration dependent), a high level of vacuum. The purge level by vacuum is more consistent and reliable than that of atmospheric purging. 5.10 Bowie Dick test A Bowie Dick test serves as a verification of the sterilisation by water vapour applied to wrapped products and porous material. 5.11 Vacuum test Verification of the vacuum pump function over a determined time period and that it is adequate for the chamber and the hydraulic circuit under vacuum. Place the receptical no higher than the out let. 7.5 EXTERNAL WATER SOURCE INLET: 7.5.1 The autoclave can be filled from a mains water source through a 3/4" connection as indicated in the picture. Maximum water pressure to be no greater than 2 bar. This feature needs to be configured. See chapter 9.6. ATTENTION Do not use the waste water option until a suitable tube is connected to the outlet, Needs to withstand high pressure and high temperature ( Pressure hose). Fix the tube in place so that it cannot be forced off by the pressure of the outlet waste. Do not touch the tube while in operation, can cause severe burns. 7.6 DRAIN SYSTEM SELECTION: 7.6.1 J.P. SELECTA s.a. With the valve indicated in the picture, if you want to recycle/reclaim the water, locate the control valve lever towards the inside of the machine as shown. Ctra. Set the control valve lever position away from the equipment. Fix a tube to the outlet and locate the other end to a drain or external collection vessel. ENSURE THAT THE OUTLET TUBE IS NOT KINKED OR OBSTRUCTED. ATTENTION! the steam outlet from valve (11) and the outlet of waste water and steam from valve (17) are at HIGH PRESSURE AND TEMPERAURE. Take all precautions to avoid SERIOUS BURNS. NEVER HOLD THE OUTLET PIPE OR VALVE (17) WITH YOUR HAND AS IT WILL CAUSE SERIOUS BURNS. 7 8 Operation 8.1 SWITCH ON Activate the main power switch (6), Fill the reservoir (7) with approximately 8 litres of water. Check that the vapour release valve (11) is closed. Place the items to be sterilised inside Close the lid. NOTE If this is the first process from cold the machine will require to heat up for 10-15 minutres from initial switch on. Preheating: Plug in, switch on the mains switch, leave for 10-15minutes to heat up. 8.2 PROGRAM Once the mains switch (6) is on, the display after few seconds shows a start message: Software version - Model Thereafter a default message corresponding to the last program used will be shown. If the program shown is the one to be used, the system can be started with the start/stop button; LED (3) will then light up. Push the button once more Rotate the single button control to the program you require. Once the program has been located, push the button again, «Select» will appear, push the button to enter the program selected. After a few seconds a confirmation of «SELECTED» will be shown. By means of the menu «PROGRAMS» as before using the single control, turn the button to select the closest program to what you require, we will now modify this program . By pressing the single button control, «SELECT» will appear, this time rotate the button until «MODIFY» is shown on the screen, push the button again, the program you want to modify will appear in the screen. Rotate the button to the parameter to be changed and press the button, rotate again to view the parameter selection and press to confirm your choice. Once the program change has been made press the button and «SELECT» will appear once again, if more than one parameter is to be changed rotate to «MODIFY» again and repeat the process for the second parameter. After all modifications have been made press the button when «SELECT» is displayed, this will validate the changes, after a few seconds «SELECTED» will be shown. No water in the system or heater fault. 20 Empty error, takes too long to empty the system. Do not overload the baskets, drums or trays, always leave a space of 1 to 2 cm between items to allow a free passage of vapour and to ease drying. 10.1 Sterilisation of instruments in bulk. Place the instruments on a tray with water repellent paper leaving a space between each instrument. Try to keep similar type material instruments together on a tray. 10.2 Sterilise instruments in pouches or bags: Only place one instrument per bag. Place the bags on water repellent paper in a vertical position so that they do not touch each other or the wall of the autoclave, use a rack if available. 10.3 Tubing: The tubing need to be clean and drained. Place the tubing so that the openings on both ends are open. Make sure that the tubes are not touching the autoclave wall, blocked or twisted and that nothing can block the inside. 10.4 Vessels: Never put hermetically sealed vessels in the autoclave. Place the contents open end down to prevent any residual water being left inside. 10.5 Liquids Place the receptacle with the liquid inside on a drip tray, making sure that the receptacle can withstand the temperature. Do not fill the receptacle more than 2/3rds of its maximum capacity, DO NOT CLOSE THE LID IF IT HAS A HERMETICAL SEALED, only us a lid if the pressure can be released. (eg. Serotap or Bacti-lid) Try to avoid using narrow neck vessels. At the end of the cycle, let the autoclave cool down slowly (until the pressure is 0 kg/cm²) J.P. SELECTA s.a. Ctra. This valve is calibrated to release the pressure at 2.2 kg/cm² and 2.5 kg/cm². If the valve is triggered, stop the machine and call your nearest service department. 11.3 Safety thermostat: If the temperature increases over the normal level, or a considerable decrease in water level produces a sudden over temperature in the vapour generator, the over temperature safety valve will activate (14), cutting power to the heater element. To be used by service personnel only. If there is a blockage or the opening of the lid is prevented by the safety system, follow the safety protocol below to release the pressure and lid: 1 Stop the machine. 2 Unplug at the mains 3 Put a tube over the air valve (11) 4 Open the valve with care so that the vapour pressure can be released. Take care to prevent burns or scalds. 5 Wait until all the vapour and pressure is released. 6 With the manual opening hook supplied with the autoclave, proceed in the following manner (see Photos.): Look through the grill with the aid of a torch locate the lid mechanism, lever. This section describes the parameters that you can change to maintain the correct calibration. These parameters should only be changed if the values selected do not satisfy the application requirements. To gain access to the calibration level follow the instructions below: Displayed on the main screen Press the single button control, «PROGRAMS» will be displayed. Rotate the menu to «CONFIGURATION». Push the button and «LANGUAGE» will be shown on the screen, rotate the button until «PASSWORD» is shown. Press the button and the screen will display «ENTER PASSWORD», the code by default is «0000» (the user can change this password if they wish by selecting «CHANGE PASSWORD»); push the button again and the screen displays «ENTER PASSWORD OK», rotate the button to «EXIT». The control board should only be changed by maintenance or authorised personnel CLEANING: To clean the differing parts of the machine the following cleaning products are commended: To clean the stainless steel: Alcohol. To clean the cover and plastic areas: use cotton wool dipped in Alcohol or use a non abrasive cloth with Alcohol. Clean the vacuum filter, placed at the back of the machine. Directive 97/23/CE Reglamento de aparatos a presión RD 1244/1979 17.1 Installation: Safety valve discharging:: The safety valve is placed on the rear part of the aparatus.. Is forbiden that people can be stay in forn of the safety valve in order to avoid damages produced by a possible steam lakage. If that is inevitable its steam outlet will be carried to a safe zone, in a way that it cannot cause damages by the direct acction of the steam lakage. 17.2 Legalization of the installation: The installation of the autoclave must be object of legalization done by an authorized engeneer specialized on these kind of installations; he or she has to test it acording with the Article 14 of the Presure Aparatus Regulations. 17.3 Annual review They have to be done by competent personel who must check the good contition preservation and working of the equipment.; He or she must check and, if necessary, clean and repair all measurement and safety devices and all other devices. 17.4 Periodic hidraulic tests: After 10 years from the equimment installation, once made a review as explained on the section I.3, the vessel must pass an hidraulic test acording with the article 16 of the current Regulations (1979). The test will be made by a Installer Society of pressure equipments, by the maitenence service of the owner or by an oficial aproved society. They will write a minutes in triplicate. One of them will be keeped in hands of the owner, other to the society which made the test and the last one to the goverment desk in charge of control this kind of equipment. 17.5 Aperture and closing of the loading and unloading lid: The autoclave includes safety devices which blockes the lid aperture if there are not the proper safety conditions. Nevertheless you must to take the following precautory measures: - The aperture and clossing of the lid must be done by previously informed personel. - Before to open the lid the user will make sure that the sterilization cycle finished and that there is no pressure or water level inside the chamber J.P. In any must not be excedeed the maximal allowable pressure (PS = 2,5 bar). 17.7 Maintenance - Must be done periodic check-ups of the following safety devices: (1) Safety valva (2) Maximal limit pressure switch (3) Safety thermostat - Must be done periodic check-ups of the other devices. - While we were doing maitenence works the chamber must be cold and unpressured. It also must be disconnectd from the mains plug. - Is noticed to the maitenence personel that the chamber is protected by a chasis so is cannot be touched by the users. The autoclave may have very hot parts and could cause possible water and steam lakage, so they must enter in the room keeping precautionary measures like: (1) Disconnect the autoclave from de mains and leave it get cold as it was write before (2) Use suitable protections (3) Do not handle the devices which do not know, specially air vents, valves or other piping conexion which may cause lakages. 17.8 Desing features which are determinant to the equipment life - Slow creep: the maximal service temparature planed is smaller than the one at the used materials could get deteriorated by slow creep. - Fatigue: The equipment was designed to resist safety the maximal alowed pressure PS=2.5 bar, and the fatigue caused by the pressure cycles (from the vacuum to the maximal presure). The supposed life of the apparatus is 20 years with a working rate of 4 operations each day, 365 days a year. Any way the real life must be determined by the annual check-ins... - Corrosion: The use of stainless steel type 1.4404 (316L) to make the chamber sure a suitable corrosion durability under the water, steam and products to be sterilized action.
