You’d like to consider the second order effects (P-Delta effects) in the analysis for all defined cases or for a
list of cases .
Solution:
Go to menu “Analysis” / “Analysis type”.
In the field “Case list” :
If you want toconsider the P-delta effects for all the defined cases:
Enter “a” without the quotations marks
If you want to consider the P-delta effects for a list of cases:
Entrer the list of cases for which the second order effects should be considered for instance
"10to22" without the quotations marks.
Click on the button “Change analysis type”.
Select “P-delta”, click on “Set nonlinear analysis parameters” and click on “Nonlinear analysis parameters”
button.
Check the check boxes “Matrix update after each iteration” and “Save results after each increment”.
Click the “OK” button and run the calculation.
