Different types of flanges explained.
Flanges are specifically used to join cylinders, tubing, pumps, and other pieces of pipe work
together to form a pipe work structure. Flanges are either welded or otherwise threaded, and two
flanges are bolted together with the gaskets to create a bond that allows easier access to
particularly the piping system.

Flanges Come in a Variety of Styles
Slip On Flanges

Weld Neck Flanges

the small-bore lines. Their stable resistance is the same as the Slip On flanges, but the fatigue
strength is specifically 50% greater than the slip on flanges which are double-welded. To ensure
correct bore length, the diameter of the linking pipe must be specified for this sort of flange. You

Until welding, a distance between the flange or otherwise fitting and the pipe should be created
in the connector weld flange.
Blind Flanges
Blind flanges are specifically made without a bore and particularly are used to cover the ends of
tubing, valves, and the pressure vessel openings. Blind flanges seem to be the most overwhelmed
flange types in terms of internal pressure as well as bolt loading, particularly in larger sizes.
