Course Information Course Title: IB French Course Description: IB French course introduces students to -writing: how to use grammar, verbs conjugation to different modes and tenses, and sentence construction from simple to complex to learn how to write simple correct sentences and how to connect simple sentences into complex sentences and how to connect complex sentences to write a correct paragraph. Students will learn to organize an essay around a main idea and different supporting ideas; students will learn how to maintain a sense of coherence and cohesiveness in their writings. -Discussing: students will have to discuss different topics from daily life to major world problems, students will learn how to build, expose and defend own ideas using a clear and correct language. Junior class will be an opportunity for students to review a lot of basic knowledge ranging from verbs conjugation to different parts of the speech. Senior class will be more into rigorous writing: student will have to write sentences, connect those using logical connectors and form cohesive paragraphs and finally connect paragraphs to produce cohesive and coherent texts. Instructional Methods Methods: This course is taught using a variety of instructional including lecture, class discussions, small group work, project creation, and electronic discussion (website).
