How to form the perfect tense
•
Made up of two parts:
1. The auxiliary verb
–
Use the correct part of the present tense of
the verb ‘avoir’.
2. The past participle
a) Take the infinitive, remove the ‘er’, add ‘é’.
• E.g. regarder  regard  regardé
b) Take the infinitive, remove the ‘re’, add ‘u’
• E.g. vendre  vend vendu
c) Take the infinitive, remove the ‘ir’, add ‘i’
• E.g. finir  fin  fini
