Selon le niveau de ses classes, l'enseignant pourra utiliser le travail pédagogique proposé après un trimestre de 6e au minimum. Les fiches photocopiables permettent une meilleure compréhension de l’histoire et proposent un travail sur des compétences grammaticales ciblées, ainsi que sur le lexique et la prononciation. CECRL : A1 vers A2 L’ouvrage King Arthur permet d’aborder les points suivants : Avec des élèves de bon niveau, le travail peut être réalisé en autonomie, après un temps d’explication et de découverte du livre en classe. Les activités Before reading peuvent donc être abordées à ce moment précis. Compétences lexicales La famille Le vocabulaire du Moyen Âge Les verbes d’action Avec des élèves de niveau moyen, voire faible, il est souhaitable de guider les élèves en classe tout au long de la lecture afin qu’ils ne se découragent pas et acquièrent des méthodes de lecture. Ainsi, les activités proposées, le lexique en version papier et/ou sonorisé, ainsi que la version audio du livre, permettent aux élèves d’aller vers plus d’autonomie.
